How to go live on YouTube?

Post by DDmallforum » Thu Apr 04, 2019 10:09 am

To start live streaming on YouTube Stream, you need an encoder. An encoder captures audio and video from various sources such as camera, microphone, desktop screen capture etc., and sends it to YouTube Stream for live streaming to all your audience.

Step1: Obtain the RTMP push stream address of the live stream platforms.

1.Log in YouTube Live and click on the image icon in the top right corner (figure1).

2.Select “ENCODER LIVE STREAMING” as the picture shown (figure 2).

3.Select “Live Streaming” → select “Stream now” (figure 3).

4.Then find “ENCODER SETUP” to get the Server URL and stream name/ key (figure 4).

Note: you need to click “Reveal” to get the stream name/ key.

Step2: RTMP Setting

Step: Enter the full RTMP URL and stream name/ key in ED-2K Encoder RTMP Interface → click “Start” to live. When you want to stop live streaming, you can click the button "Stop" in the web page to stop the live stream.

Server URL: To fill in the RTMP stream address of live stream platform. Each live stream platform has different and unique RTMP push stream address.

Stream Name/Key: To fill the stream name/ key of live stream platform. When the anchor opens live streaming, the platform will generate unique keys.

Status: It displays the connection status of the device and the live stream platform. There are four statues: connecting, connected, disconnecting and disconnected.

Note: Before modifying the RTMP parameters, please ensure that the status column is displayed as “disconnected” so that the parameters can be modified.[/font]

I have spent the whole day trying to go live on youtube, and it does not work. After I press "start", it goes from "disconnected" to "connecting", but never goes to "connected".
Same problem with facebook, so it does not seem to be a youtube issue; they are both "waiting for live video".
Thanks for your help

How many fish can a reef tank handle? I have a 125 with live rock. Does the type of fish matter and what about inverts and corals, how many of those? Just curious, thanks.

The network settings of the encoder may be incorrect
1. Make sure that your encoder is connected to your router, and that the IP address and the router's IP are in the same network segment.
2. The DNS of the encoder should be the same as that of the router.
