1.In transport stream mode, HEV-4K sends video to a specified unicast or multicast address, they are UDP unicast and UDP multicast. UDP unicast can push the video stream to a client with a specified IP address,UDP multicast can push video streams to multiple clients but consume less bandwidth.
2.1 How to configure UDP Unicast : When you need to unicast the media stream to a client, fill in the destination client ’s IP address in the Destination IP field, fill in the Port (1-65535) or use the default value(8541), click "Apply",shown as in Figure 1.
Figure 1
2.2 How to use UDP Unicast: For example,if you need to push the stream unicast to the client with IP address 192.168.1.75. Destination IP address is 192.168. 1.75, fill in the Port (1-65535) or use the default value(8541). Make sure the client's IP address is 192.168.1.75, open the player on the client, such as VLC, and use the URL udp: //@192.168.1.75: 8541 to open the video stream, shown as in Figure 2.
Figure 2
3.1 How to configure UDP Multicast: When you need to push a video stream to multiple clients, fill in the Multicast IP address (Range:224.0.0.0-239.255.255.255) in the Destination IP field or use the default value (239.255.17.19), and fill in the port number (1-65535) or use the default value (8541), click "Apply",shown as in Figure 3.
Figure 3
3.2 How to use UDP Multicast:For example, Destination IP uses the default Multicast IP address 239.255.17.19, the port number uses the default value 8541, and after enabling UDP Multicast, each of the multiple clients use the same URL udp: //@239.255.17.19: 8541 to open video streams, shown as in Figure 4.
Figure 4
4.Precautions4.1 When you use UDP Unicast mode to push stream, you can push one video stream with maximum 64M bit rate to one client.
4.2 When you use UDP Multicast mode to push streams, you can push video streams to up to 200 clients, and each vedio stream supports a maximum bit rate of 64M.
The above is an introduction on how to use the Transport Stream.
